Ficlets are very short stories -- or rather, excerpts of stories -- which are limited to under ~1000 characters.
These were all originally written on ficlets.com, and were generally inspired by things on that site -- other people's writing, quotes, or pictures. The idea of ficlets is that everyone can write a prequel or sequel to someone else's stories. Just be careful about reading too much into them as standalone work. Eventually, I'll probably link to the things on ficlets.com that inspired them, or just post a single link to my stories on that site.
