Larne Borough Council When Larne Borough Council approached a company I worked for regarding development of a new website, we welcomed the opportunity to represent the local council and surrounding area online. Although we had almost finished the site after a few weeks, the council would soon be ready to take delivery, we were convinced we could do even better.

Instead, we started from scratch, drawing upon Larne's deep history as a major port, and created a new site with a shipping and navigational motif. All the while, we made sure that the usability of advanced features such as a database of local businesses was enhanced by our unique design rather than overlooked in favor of it.

The final site was completed on time, with a beautifully rich design, incorporating compasses for navigation, with a strongly evoked ocean theme.
