Woodwork isn't my strong suit (although I did a fair bit when I was a kid).
Still, I wanted to build a seiza bench for meditation, so I got to work on it. Scraping together the right measurements and things took a while, so I thought it would be best to share what I'd learned so others could make theirs quicker in future.
