Seems that the TV adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones is to be shot here in Northern Ireland, during the third quarter of the year. The books are amazing, and this could easily be up there with LOTR, so that’s very cool. Bit worried that Tom McCarthy is directing since he’s directed all of two (released) movies before. I guess we can only wait and see on that though. Peter Dinklage is set to play Tyrion. That should be a good role for him; his look suits the role, and Tyrion is easily one of the strongest, most compelling, and most enjoyable characters in the books.

I’m from New Zealand, and I must admit. I am jealous because they are not filming this in New Zealand. Because there is potential for some cool shots, and I missed out on being an extra for Lord of the Rings. But my brother said it was awesome to see the sets and the big action scenes.
I love Peter Dinklage as Tyrion.
That’s who I pictured in my mind anyway.
But really I’m more interested in who they pick for Khal Drogo than Tyrion. And I’m sorry to Peter Dinklage, but I think you did an injustice to any ladies that might get interested in this film. So I have to share the knowledge with my Irish sisters.
Because Khal Drogo is only one of many sexy characters in these books.

He is sweet and looks exactly just like what I imagined Daenerys saw in Drogo on her wedding night, but he didn’t seem tough enough to play Drogo.

Tokala is a perfect Drogo. He even moves like a panther.
